Logic's Theory: The Corruption of Soul CaliburLogic's Theory: The Corruption of Soul Calibur by *Thaeonblade
As some of you know, I'm not a fan of SCV's story, I never will be and I'd rather for PS to take a hatchet to most of this story and start from scratch in SCVI.
One of the main reasons for this is the notion that Patroklos, a selfish, arrogant, incestious, vengeful, weak-willed and cold-blooded murderer was not only capable of wielding the Soul Calibur despite the fact that he shouldn't be able to physically or spiritually touch it, but was also able to unlock and use an ability that had never been used or seen by any previous wielder.
Then I sat down and thought for a second. I've even asked the question of if the story would be better if both swords were switched with Pyrrha getting Soul Calibur and Patroklos getting Soul Edge. After all, they should be natural fits considering their actions and personalities, right? Pyrrha's not evil and had to be manipulated to become Soul Edge's wielder, why is she the designated villain? Patroklos is not heroic and is lacking any sympathetic qual

He had attempted to keep up, but he stopped.
Leixia kept going, not even noticing that her wolf companion had staggered in pain. The pain that it felt whenever it came close to the flaring clash of the two swords Soul Edge and Soul Calibur. The same clashing forces that had caused him to be trapped within his current form for 18 years.
"Wait up boy!" The wolf heard Maxi call as it whined in agony, "Easy boy...are you alright? You don't look so good...you feel it too, don't you?"
"Leixia!" Immediately the wolf bit it's own gums and charged into the cave without waiting on Maxi. It blurred into the cave just in time to see a heavily wounded Leixia thrown against the cavern walls as Pyrrha robotically marched towards her with a large energy based sword raised. Sensing the dark power that was active, the wolf howled as it darted for the girl and latched it's jaws onto her arm before she could finish off the daughter of her friends.
The wolf yelped as it felt a blade slash into it's back an

Clock Tower, Northern Poland
Having long ago lost his connection to the flow and passage of time, the ancient sage found a sliver of that attachment here.
Many years ago, he had battled warriors from across the world who searched for the Embrace of Souls, prodded by his manipulations for the strengthening of the two swords. It was a time when the warrior was disquieted by his countless cycles of death and rebirth and sought release.
But it would not come from the two swords.
Now he was content, his current body remained strong and capable of lasting for at least two more decades before he died and was reborn again. Even as the war of souls and swords raged far to the south of his home, Zasalamel was content.
"Do you feel it?" Zasalamel inquired of his new meditating ward. The ancient sage circled around the silver haired girl, silently prodding her unreadable features for any sign of his hopes for the girl. When he saw her shake, he knew that she discovered something,

Captaincy of Croatia-Slavonia
To an outside observer, it would appear as though Hungary was overcome by civil war.
Hungarian, Holy Roman and Ottoman soldiers all fought across the region intent on leaving no quarter. Fields were razed to keep the enemy from using the grain, civilians were forcefully recruited or brutalized, caravans were raided for anything of worth and city upon city was burned in the blaze of war. No area within this captaincy of the kingdom was left untouched, a fitting metaphor for the war that was fought for the soil of Hungary.
Or so it appeared.
To anyone who had true knowledge of this conflict, they would know that the true war did not wage for the kingdom of Hungary, but for the souls of it's people.
What is believed to be a civil war was in truth a slaughter.
When Holy Roman and Ottoman reinforcements arrived to quell the apparent unrest spread by the "malfestation" of Graf Dumas' upr
